I recently bought a new springform pan to make the Lemon Torta and have been dying to use it again. A springform pan is great for layered cakes with Savoiardi (ladyfingers) or mousse. It has a base that can be detached from the sides.

I love the taste of dark chocolate and orange together. Recently a friend took as to a local Gelateria and I tasted a fabulous gelato from Sicily. Wow! Almond and orange together! I could just feel the warm breeze of Sicily as I tasted that delicious flavor combination!
Lemon Tiramisu
Summer desserts are all about being cool, refreshing and light. This lemon Tiramisu is light and airy with just the right amount of lemon and sweet. Don’t let the name distract you, this Tiramisu has no coffee or cocoa in it. But it is created in the exact same recipe and style as a true Tiramisu. If you don’t want to distract your guests you may try just calling it a lemon cake or Torta di Limone.

A fun dessert to make when served with ice cream and homemade Fudge Brownies! My husband added a layer of peanut butter and it was a hit! Hot fudge sauce is also fun and delicious as a fondue. Serve hot with marshmallows, graham crackers, fresh fruit and sponge cake!

Old Fashioned Peach Crisp
Ahhhh, the peak of the Summertime is late July, and nothing says Summer better than a homemade peach crisp slowly melting a dallop of vanilla ice cream that has been scooped on top. Peaches are one of my favorite fruits, from the fuzzy soft skin to the blush of red around the gnarled pit, I love this summer stone fruit!

I love the taste of Almond Roca and its so easy to make! I decided to whip up a batch for those moments when you just want something sweet but don’t want to commit to eating an entire dessert. I’ve made this Almond Roca three times since I have been here in Italy. One time it was to give away to friends in small gift bags and all of the girls loved it! Italian don’t really have this type of candy so it’s a real novelty!

Several months ago when I was up to my elbows in cherries, I came across a recipe that was mind blowing for me. It was for Noyaux (pronounced Noy-you). Noyaux is the French word meaning “stones” and is referring to the little kernel inside the pit of stone fruit such as cherry, peach and apricot.
